Privacy Policy

Play Ball (“the App”) is a walk-up songs app for baseball teams, provided by Clutch Apps (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what information the App uses and what we do with it.

Summary

Play Ball is built to keep your team data on your device. We do not require accounts, and we do not operate a backend that stores your rosters or player names.

Information stored on your device

The App stores the following locally on your device (for example in on-device storage / SQLite):

• Team names, colors, seasons, and badges you create
• Player names, numbers, positions, and lineups
• Walk-up song choices and clip settings
• App preferences (theme, announcer voice, music source, onboarding flags)

This information stays on your device unless you choose to share a team (for example via a share link or export).

Information we do not collect

• No Play Ball user accounts or logins
• No analytics SDK or advertising trackers built into the App for selling personal data
• No uploading of player names or rosters to our servers for storage (we do not run a roster database)

Music services and device permissions

Depending on the music source you choose, the App may request access to:

• Apple Music / MusicKit: to search and play songs if you have an Apple Music subscription. Apple’s privacy policy applies to Apple Music usage.
• Deezer: to search songs and play short preview clips. Deezer’s terms and privacy policy apply to that service.
• Media library / local files: to play DRM-free music stored on your device, only if you choose Your Library.
• Microphone / audio-related permissions: only as required by the underlying media frameworks for playback features disclosed by iOS.

Speech announcements (“Now batting…”) use on-device iOS text-to-speech. Player names spoken in announcements are processed on your device for that feature.

Team sharing

If you share a team, you choose to send team data (roster and related settings) to someone else through a link or share sheet. Anyone with the link may be able to import that team into their copy of the App. Do not share links that contain information you are not comfortable sharing.

Children and family use

Play Ball is intended for coaches, parents, and teams, including youth baseball contexts. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a Play Ball account system, because the App does not use accounts. Team and player information you enter is stored on your device under your control.

Third-party services

The App may interact with Apple (App Store, Apple Music, iOS), Deezer, and hosting used for our website / Universal Links (for example Vercel / Cloudflare for playballsongs.com). Those providers process data under their own policies when you use their services.

Data retention and deletion

Because roster and preference data live on your device, you can remove it by deleting teams in the App or by deleting the App from your device. Shared links you create may remain reachable until they expire or are no longer hosted.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
